Drip cakes are a good choice when you want something eye-catching but not covered in fondant, and one of my personal favourite things to make. 10/10 for dramatic impact, they are great for adding a bit of colour and fun to your parties. Sealed with a thick ganache layer and obviously finished with a ganache drip and toppings/buttercream swirls/really anything you can think of, they can be vibrant and dramatic or subtle and muted to suit your tastes and colour palette. You can also go for a partial drip which can give a lovely elegant or even slightly abstract finish.
I usually make these cakes extra tall for optimum drip length and ultimate decadance, literally dripping with chocolatey goodness!
